Travis Patterson and George Gill both began photographing at the age of fifteen in large part for the patience and discipline it taught. A large portion of their imagery and honing experiences have come from two 14,000-mile, cross country road trips. The work from it presents a purely celebratory tribute to and personally meditative connection to nature. We bluntly acknowledge that these works perpetuate a Modernist aesthetic and do not attempt to further the dialogue of contemporary photography. Instead, they are the byproducts of studies in light and composition. We've been very fortunate to have traveled so much camera in hand. George likes to embrace the word "wanderings" as he mantra, inspired by how he feels his process. The landscape photographs on this website are primarily dedicated to brotherhood, refuge in nature, and adventure.
